Are you a passionate Kitchen Assistant who thrives on making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people?


If so, Highgate lodge would love to hear from you We are looking for a bank Kitchen assistant / Cook to join our Catering Team.


The Role:
As our kitchen assistant you will be working with the Cook on all aspects of the kitchen processes. You will get involved from creating menus, plating and arranging food trolleys.

Being a Kitchen Assistant at Highgate Lodge, you will keep track of stock rotation, comply to company policies and procedures whilst following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.

At Highgate Lodge we are always keen to develop people and let them run with ideas.

We celebrate birthdays along with all the other events in a year, so if you enjoy making cakes we would love to hear from you.


What we need from you:

  • You will have experience working in a kitchen
  • You will have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and be happy with following instructions within a busy kitchen environment
  • You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure
  • You must be respectful and compassionate and resilient.
