ONP Group are looking for an ambitious and experienced Training Specialist to join our forward-thinking Learning & Development Team on a 12 Month FTC Basis.

Based predominately out of our Stockport office (hybrid), this role will involve regular travel to all ONP Office Locations.


The Role:


The successful Training Specialist will work collaboratively with the Head of Learning and Development to design and deliver learning and development that meets business needs.

The role will support several strategic projects, in particular, the design of role-based learning pathways for Conveyancing and Remortgage Case Managers.

Utilising blended and accelerated learning principles, the Training Specialist will use a variety of methods and media to create highly engaging and learner centric training content that will be facilitated by the Training Team.

The role will also support the design and delivery of core skills-based training to support the development of our colleagues.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design of rolebased learning pathways by utilising blended and accelerated learning principles.
  • Collaborate with the Training Team to create highly engaging training content that supports rolebased learning pathways for Conveyancing & Remortgage Case Managers.
  • Lead projects through the learning project lifecycle from training needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Support the definition, design and delivery of our approach to core skills training.
  • Support the creation of evaluation methods and assessments and lead the continuous improvement of training.
  • Support the ongoing development of the induction process for all new starters including the delivery of the group wide welcome event.
  • Coordination and collaboration with third party suppliers where necessary.
  • Role model and influence a positive learning culture within the business.
  • Support the configuration of the ONP Group learning management system and ensure associated processes are fit for purpose.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends in Learning and Development and utilise modern, innovative design principles.

Person Specification:


  • Extensive experience of training delivery and design, with significant exposure to designing training materials across the MS Office suite.
  • Desirable to hold design skills of online learning authoring tools.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work with challenging timescales and competing priorities.
  • Superior presentation and facilitation skills, with a demonstrable passion for helping and motivating people to develop.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels within the business.
  • Broad knowledge of blended and accelerated learning principles, with a desire for continuous improvement.
