Protocol Education are currently recruiting for Special Educational Needs colleges located in North London.

The colleges are looking for individuals who have experience, or who are looking for experience, working with young adults with various special needs.

These colleges support learners with autism, speech & language difficulties, behavioural needs and physical disabilities.


As a support worker you will be working within classed of - 8 students, supporting the class teacher and supporting students on a one-to-one basis.

The role will require you to develop speech & language, differentiate the work to meet the student's needs, explore and encourage sensory learning, teach life skills (supporting them for the future), support learners in the community, developing social awareness and also support students in work programs.

You will be working collaboratively with the class teacher to ensure goals and targets are met.


The role:

  • Long term opportunities with job security
  • Supporting students in class ranging from 8 students per class
  • Developing student's academic and social skills through creative approaches such as art or music
  • Teaching numeracy, with a primary focus on the importance of moment and becoming more independent
  • Supporting students within the community and preparing students for work placements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
