We are recruiting for a SOC Analyst - 2ndLine to join the wider Operational Delivery Team.

You will be tasked with line managing a team SOC Analysts, providing support, and acting as a point of escalation for your team who are responsible for monitoring, triaging, analysing and incident raising in the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC).

Youwill be accountable for the actions and work carried out on their shift and is responsible for contributing to the improvement of the ticket creation process, analytical methodology and the net promoter score.

Overall activity will be customer focused and lead to enhancing our service proposition, so you will think both inwards and outwards.

Part of this role will lead the development of long and short skill-based capabilities, supporting the CSOC developmentroadmap, by delivering SOC capabilities to the business and championing new ideas and initiatives to help improve new and existing competencies.

As such we are looking for someone with ideas, who can challenge and champion better ways of working.

A proactive thinker, you will assess past and current incidents and analyse preventative approaches to help improve our service offering.

Leadership and mentoring form a part of this role and where applicable the SOC Analyst will work with the TAC Analysts and ensure all SOC Analysts understand current and future security threats and vulnerabilities at the direction of the CSOC Team Lead.

This is all part of our constant drive and desire to improve best practice across our business and security practice.

The SOC Analyst will work closely with other areas of the business to ensure collaboration and knowledge share across the teams, specifically the cyber security engineers to mitigate issues and the Cyber Intelligence Team to better understand the threatlandscape.

You will have a strong background and passion for Cyber Security and IT in general and will have worked in a similar environment recently.
