Prime Time Group is a family of 3 nursery settings in Birmingham with a home from home ethos. "Team work makes the dream work"
We currently have a vacancy to work within our Ward End
branch for a level 3 Nursery Practitioner.

We are a 32 place provision, with a home from home feeling, where everyone is made to feel welcome and loved.

We operate 51 weeks a year, excluding bank holidays. We are closed for one week at Christmas.

Hours - 22 hours a week

Working hours 5.5 hour shifts (daily) Tuesday to Friday

The ability to laugh at jokes that you don't understand, or you don't find funny. Child humour can be a confusing minefield to navigate.
You will preferably have a little bit of quirkiness. If a child requests that you be the captain of a pirate ship, you will be the best pirate you can be.
The ability to sing, in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.
A high level of multitasking is essential too. If something would normally take 5 minutes to achieve, you must be comfortable with it taking 15 minutes or longer.
Possessing the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of utmost importance.
You must be able to remain focused in environments with louder noise levels.
Can you pretend to eat play dough creations realistically? This is a skill that may develop with time
The ability to remember the names of 20 plus children, their parents and siblings, pets and special toys is a key component as they become our family members too.
Can you authentically show an interest in the outdoors and show curiosity for bugs and creepy crawlies is essential, even if they are you biggest fear
You must be willing to have a lot of fun in the workplace, laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
Can you engage in play with the 7 areas of learning in mind?
Can you seek adventure and enhance you imagination through play?

And finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important too many young children and their families.
