£36,733- £41,325 per annum (this includes a 15% shi ft allowance)

Full time, 40.25 hours a week across 7 day working pattern, 12-hour shifts

What will you be doing???


As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be helping to maintain all the electrical assets at our Cotton Valley Bioresources site.


Key duties will include:

  • Carrying out reactive work
  • Investigating and repairing faults?
  • Safe operation and maintenance of all assets in line with Health and Safety policies and procedures?
  • Completing job sheets to a required standard?
  • Reporting back on asset condition?
  • Ensuring the availability of plant and equipment?
  • Organising contractors employed where required?
  • Procuring best value goods and services when required?
  • Ensuring all procurement procedures are adhered to including SAP and records maintained?

What does it take to be a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer?

  • Possess either an industrial electrical or mechanical apprenticeship??
  • NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent (electrical or engineering maintenance) as well as one of the below:?
  • ONC/OND in electrical engineering?
  • City and Guilds Parts 1 &2 in electrical engineering or equivalent?
  • Proven mechanical experience in an industrial environment, along with a good working knowledge of industrial mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes, general mechanical plant and equipment.?
  • Strong awareness of health and safety?
  • DSEAR COMPEX trained is desirable?
  • Flexible and resilient approach to work
- hours, training and adapting to the business needs when necessary?

  • Advocate of collaboration, someone who enjoys working as part of a team?
  • Full driving license?
