Job Description:


To Set and inspect work from any 3 or more machines (including at least one CNC operation) for the manufacture of turbine components.

To mentor new starter cell induction program as requested by supervision. To manage the effective and timely processing of production in order to support business needs. Ensure relevant and accurate records are maintained and readily accessible. Produce associated reports and provide relevant data on area of allocation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and load appropriate control program for CNC machine operations. Use appropriate SOPs and Company procedures.
  • Ensure First Off procedures are followed and completed prior to starting production run. Complete relevant documentation.
  • Operate CNC and conventional machines and inspect output to produce components in line with B EXP Operator Inspector Job Description.
  • Other duties as required compatible with this job and the employee's individual skills at the direction of the supervisor/manager.
Job Requirements


Desirable:


  • NVQ
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Pedestrian Forklift Certificate
  • Press H&S Certificate (Press Shop Only)
  • Relevant Safety Certificates eg Grinding Wheel Certificate
  • 12 years with varying machine exposure.
  • Cutter characteristics and tool life.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and recognise abbreviations/symbols
  • Numeracy, Communication skills, basic IT, problem solving ability.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments
