Description

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist.

We are looking for a part-time (0.5WTE), Band 8a psychologist to be part of our Support Plus team which aims to improve the lives of forensic mental health service users as they move from secure care into the community.

Support Plus has a vacancy for a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist. You will alongside an MDT including Doctors, Nurses, Recovery Workers, OTs and Social Workers.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering programme which is funded by NHS England, the team will support forensic service users in the community instead of in secure hospitals.

This can improve quality of life and reduce inequality and allows hospital care costs to be reinvested into community services.

Other teams in the programme have spoken of having a "genuine impact on service users lives" and the ability to "instil hope" and "witness real life changes".

Specialist training will be provided for particular aspects of the post as necessary.

Regular clinical and educational supervision will also be provided along with academic sessions as part of the weekly team programme.

The team prides itself in providing a high quality services to people with complex Mental Health problems across the 5 Boroughs that the Trust serves.
