We are seeking to add an Accounts Assistant to our Finance Team. This team is responsible for the financial performance, process and control of the company. Recent growth and development has resulted in the requirement for an assistant to the Finance Director.
Based at our offices in Caerphilly, we are ready to consider both full-time and part-time working.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Reviewing and processing staff expenses.
  • Maintaining Fixed Asset Registers.
  • Allocation of customer receipts.
  • Review of overhead costs.
  • Raising of credit notes
  • Processing company credit card statements
  • Preparation and submission of vat and HMRC returns.
  • Setting up of new customer accounts.
  • Cashflow maintenance.
  • Overseas and ad hoc payments.
  • Cover holiday/sick leave for other members of the finance team.
  • Other ad hoc finance projects.

Required Skills include:

  • Intermediate level Excel skills.
  • Prior experience of VAT returns.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and proactive.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong numeracy and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience working in a finance department with some monthend experience would be beneficial.
