Imperial Personnel are recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client in Nottingham, NG2 on a Full-Time Temp-to-Perm basis.


Hours and Pay:


40 hours Per Week on a rational basis working in between the hours of 5:30am - 2pm and 9.30am - 6pm rotation.


  • 1 in every 4 weekends to be worked, with time off in Lieu._
£26,000pa + benefits


Responsibilities:


  • To keep transport costs to a minimum through optimised planning and consolidation.
  • Ensure all vehicles defects are to be addressed in a timely manner to ensure compliance.
  • Working with the Transport Manager to keep fleet maintenance up to date in line with requirements of the operators license.
  • Produce tachograph reports from software ensuring drivers understand and sign infringements.
  • To be involved with improvement projects.
  • Liaise with recycling centers and transfer station to ensure all waste levels are collected as planned.
  • To also liaise with vehicle maintenance providers and personnel to ensure smooth operation and MOT/services schedules are adhered to.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in route planning and scheduling.
  • An excellent geographical knowledge of Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.
  • Prior experience of working with both drivers and customers.
  • IT literate and skilled in Google Sheets and Google Docs.
