Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our friendly team as a Nursery Cook.

As a Nursery Cook, you will play a vital role in assisting with meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our Nursery kitchen.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with culinary skills and a passion for food to contribute to our friendly team.

Requirements

Must hold or achieve a Level 2 in Food Safety.

Must complete a DBS (disclosure and barring service) or be on the update service

Responsibilities:

Meal preparation, including chopping, peeling, and cooking ingredients
Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency in food quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines
Collaborate with other nursery staff to ensure efficient workflow within the provision
Conduct stock inventories and ensure you manage stock rotation
Support other team members as needed
Fill out all relevant food safety paperwork

Skills:

Culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to follow recipes accurately
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Being able to communicate with children
