About the role:


As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work as part of an agile team, developing high quality reliability and troubleshooting solutions to meet business requirements across People First Platform.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work as part of an SRE team, supporting the operation of a highquality system and ensuring performance and reliability NFRs are met.
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions working alongside Agile development teams.
  • Use knowledge of software and systems engineering to review site structure and build fault tolerant systems with largescale distribution.
  • Ensure system capacity and performance is in line with requirements.
  • Through design, improve the latency and scalability of the People First Architecture.
  • Ensure solutions delivered by other teams deliver a high level of site reliability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across People First and site reliability.
  • Continually review, improve, and ensure compliance with appropriate technical standards.
  • Contribute towards the achievement of team OKRs.

Technical skills:


  • An understanding of Azure services such as Web Apps, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure Resource Manager, Cloud Services, Azure Active Directory (B2C, B2B and Enterprise AD), SQL Database, ACL, VNETs, Traffic Manager, App Insights and Docker instances.
  • Understanding of host infrastructure services containers
  • Understanding of DevOps and Continuous Delivery
  • Development and reliability background with good knowledge of at least one programming language
  • Optimisation and debugging of code
  • Task Automation
