Description

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Support the purchase ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and other accounting reconciliations
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes and efficiency within the finance department

Requirements:


  • 12 years of experience in an accounts assistant role or similar
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Xero accounting software is a plus but not essential
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • 12 years of experience in a general accounting role, with exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to improving processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills within a supportive team environment
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software or a similar cloudbased accounting system
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with discretion

  • Those who are not comfortable working with numbers and financial data
  • Individuals who lack attention to detail or have a history of making frequent errors
  • Those who are unwilling to learn new systems and processes
