Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge for September 2024?


Do you want to join a friendly team at an excellent special school? This school requires an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the team to provide 1-2-1 and small group support.

As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be assisting an experienced class teacher, supporting the needs up the pupils.

This school caters for children of primary age with a range of additional needs including, autism, Asperger's and MLD. The SENCO aims to places all Teaching Assistants in classes that best suit their skillset and experience.


Job Role:

  • Supporting on a 121 basis within small classes of KS1 or KS2 children with additional needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
