Our client an award winning manufacturing company in Teesside are hiring in their Accounts team.

Looking for a permanent Sales Ledger Assistant your duties will include (but not limited to):


  • Maintaining the Sales Ledger.
  • Completing online customer purchasing portals.
  • Taking corporate card payments.
  • Posting receipts to customers' accounts accurately in a timely manner, be it via bank credits or through direct debits.
  • Weekly sales ledger Balancing
  • Recording and resolving queries promptly to retrieve payments.
  • Opening new customer accounts in line with company policy.
  • Ensuring customer accounts and invoices have the necessary detail and supporting documents to ensure prompt payment.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Supporting the rest of the team as required.
  • Ensuring all invoicing queries are forwarded and resolved by the relevant departments.
  • General sales ledger based filing.
  • Setting up new customers.
  • Producing invoices.
  • Banking and reconciliation.
  • Running off turnover statements.
  • Chasing up outstanding debts (not always the easiest part of the job).
  • Sorting out any rebates and filing.
  • Checking VAT has been included on invoices.
  • Providing creditors with VAT receipts.
It goes without saying that you need to have a good head for numbers to work in this job but it also helps if you have:

  • Good communications skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • An analytical mind
A good eye for detail Previous Sage experience would be extremely desirable.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
