Receptionist


We have an exciting positions for a Receptionist/Admin to join our dynamic friendly team at St John's House Medical Centre.

We are a large friendly forward thinking team. Our clinical team is made up of doctors, pharmacists, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, pharmacists and health care assistants.

Our administrative team is made up of secretaries, receptionists, read coders, scanners.

We all strive to do the best for our patients and give excellent 'customer service'

Excellent communication and prioritising skills combined with exceptional attention to detail are essential.

Hours per week: 16 hours part time set days and shifts with overtime if required to cover sickness and holidays

  • Monday to Friday Opening times 08:00am 18:30pm.

Job description

Key tasks and responsibilities:
The following are the main duties of a receptionist.

There may be occasions where you are asked to carry out other tasks; this will depend on factors such as workload and staffing levels:

Medical reception including telephone answering, assisting patients with queries.

You will work with a team and rotate duties either in the 'call centre' or on the main reception desk.


Daily duties such as :
Booking appointments face to face and over the phone and signposting to ensure the patient is booked with the right person, in the right place at the right time

Receiving and recording requests for home visits, DN visits, telephone consultations and taking messages

Helping to assist with general enquiries

Answer incoming calls in a timely manner as per practice protocol

Switching on clinicians PCs and ensuring everything is set up for the day

Full training will be given.

Qualifications

Essential-Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

- **GCSE (or equivalent) in mathematics & English at grade C
