SUMMARY:

The Technical Author / Writer role plays an important part in our company's product development process.

The Technical Author / Writer will be responsible for enhancing and evolving the internal documentation solutions to meet the requirements of organisation.

Working within an Agile framework, the role requires a hands-on Technical Author / Writer who cares deeply about both the technical and linguistic aspects of documenting the structure of API libraries, functions, tools, processes and methodologies behind inovative software systems to a technical internal audience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Technical

Technical Author will be responsible responsible for working with the developers to create architecture design documents and software user manuals
Applies appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the document development life cycle.

Time Management

Works to achieve daytoday objectives with moderate impact on the project team.

Communication

Communicates with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.).
Explains technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization.

Team Working

Work with multiple teams based in different locations and time zones.
Collaborate closely with software developers and product engineers to ensure security principles are applied consistently throughout
Willingness to learn and share knowledge with peers

Cross Functional Working

Continually build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve the successful completion of projects

Health & Safety

Always follow and promote Group and Company policies and procedures
Ensure all Company equipment and personal PPE properly used

Skills & Attributes

Excellent writing skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word
Experience of topicbased technical writing
Self motivated to learn new skills
Experience of creating user Manuals in MadCap Flare
Experience working within a software development environment

Experience

Minimum 3 years technical writing experience
Wide ranging technical background
Exposure to people screening processes and solutions

Qualifications:

A technical or language degree, or relevant experience
