Description

Responsibilities:

• Construct and repair walls, partitions, fireplaces, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones
• Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints or specifications
• Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using a trowel
• Align and level bricks, stones, or blocks using plumb lines, levels, or other tools
• Cut or shape bricks, stones, or blocks using hand tools or power tools
• Inspect and repair existing masonry structures for cracks, leaks, or damage
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in masonry work

Skills:

• Proficient in masonry techniques and practices
• Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and blocks
• Familiarity with power tools such as saws and drills
• Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely
• Basic carpentry skills for framing and finishing work
• Welding skills for reinforcing structures if necessary
• Knowledge of roofing techniques for working on chimneys or other elevated structures

Salary:
£180.00-£200.00 per day

• Bricklaying: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• CSCS (preferred)
• Driving Licence (preferred)

• Barrington, Cambridgeshire: Relocate before starting work (required)
