CONTRACT:
Fixed 18-month Contract 1,950 annualised hours - extension depending on Funding and business needs
SALARY RANGE:
Grade 2b: Range: £22,000 - £27,300
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This post will carry out the Community engagement work of the department across programmes ensuring best practice in the approach, delivery, and legacy.
The post will work with colleagues to identify areas of Community engagement work that have the potential for further development and growth.
The post will also support, and at times lead on, specific engagement partnerships and projects within DSC.You will be outgoing and enjoy interacting with community from all backgrounds and cultures across a variety of ages and stages.
You will have a blend of administrative, communication skills and exceptional administration and communication skills both face to face and written.
You will ensure the smooth running of the community engagement function by responding to incoming enquiries and fielding requests from other departments in the organisation related to engagement activity.
You will represent DSC in the local community become the face ofDSC and the first person our community leaders connect with. You will be an excellent communicator and effective collaborator that can multi-task.
The post will form a key part of the wider Audience Engagement Team and will support and progress the strategic direction of the Learning & Engagement department where Equality,
Diversity and Inclusion and Health and Wellbeing are two key priorities. You will be responsible for the administration, communication, evaluation across our formal, community and widening access audiences. redesign of the training and development programme of the team ensuring high quality Science communication both internally and externally.
As part of your role, you will be required to maintain existing community relationships and foster new ones, increasing DSC's presence within our wider community areas.
The post reports to the Business Development Lead and will work alongside the Marketing and AudienceEngagement Assistant.

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly within the Dundee Science Centre team.
This post is available on a full-time basis.
Hours of work will be flexible depending on the availability of the individual; and will include shifts over the weekend and evening work.
MAIN DUTIES
- To deal with the day-to-day administration of the audience engagement function at DSC,
- Support with the administrative and digital operational delivery of the formal and community programmes
- Your main function will be to work closely with the Business Development Lead to manage the engagement of our formal and community audiences. This will involve administration tasks, meeting with community leaders to build stronger relationships and identifying their needs and how DSC can support. You will support with scheduling across all aspects of DSC's services, programmes and products and managing all related digital systems.

Tasks/Responsibilities
- Provide community and formal learning stakeholders with an excellent experience and an elevated level of customer care
- Responsible for all administrative tasks related to the delivery of the formal and community programmes
- Support with operational digital support of the formal learning programmes, including live streaming, scheduling, and managing audience communications
- Create dynamic written, graphic, and video administrative content for formal and community programmes
- Helps with operational delivery with large projects and events
- Works as part of a team to develop audience engagement and reach target numbers
- Analyses and reports audience information and demographics, feeding in to internal and external reports
- Propose innovative ideas and concepts for audience engagement
- Work with marketing and social media team members to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
