Position Overview:
We're searching for experienced and compassionate Senior Support Workers to join our team.
In this role, you'll provide essential support and guidance to children in our residential homes, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere where they can flourish.
You'll collaborate closely with the management team to implement personalised care plans and ensure the highest standards of care are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer direct care and support to children in a residential setting, nurturing their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
- Act as a mentor and leader to support workers, providing guidance and supervision to enhance their skills and development.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualised care plans tailored to meet each child's unique needs.
- Engage in team meetings and case reviews, fostering effective communication and collaboration among colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
- Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders involved in their care journey.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Residential Childcare (Children and Young People).
- Proven experience working in a residential children's home or similar environment, ideally in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport and trust with children and colleagues alike.
- Strong leadership qualities and decisionmaking abilities, coupled with a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing the welfare of children and young people.

Pay:
£30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
