    Description

    Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

    Civil Engineering Role in the North West

    We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a main contractor specializing in civil engineering, based in the Manchester area.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost reports and forecasts to ensure effective financial management of projects.
    • Procurement: Source and procure sub-contractors, materials, and services to meet project requirements.
    • Take Offs and Valuations: Conduct take offs and valuations to determine quantities and costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
    • Final Accounts: Prepare final accounts and cash flow forecasts to ensure timely payment and minimize financial risk.
    • Variation Management: Manage and value variations to ensure compliance with contracts and regulations.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications: Relevant industry qualification (BSc) in a field such as civil engineering or a related discipline.
    • Experience: Proven experience in civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, roads, highways, and other related fields.
    • Skills: Excellent communication and people skills, with experience working with NEC contracts and procedures.

    The full package includes a basic salary, pension, holidays, healthcare, death in service, mobile phone, laptop, and a bonus structure.
