An exciting opportunity is available for the right individual to join Digital Services at NUH.


We are looking for a strong individual who will play a key role in supporting the Digital Services Strategy Team and support the business and financial management of the Digital Services Department.

Main duties of the job

Manage the Digital Services Contracts Renewal Process.


Maintain and improve the accuracy and detail of the contracts dataset held by the Digital Services Commercial and Strategy Team.

Carry out service reviews with Digital Services suppliers and further develop the existing process for service reviews.

Raise complex orders on behalf of Digital Services DMT.

Lead on the completion of monthly reports on contracts, ordering, budget status and team performance.

Carry out complex analysis on contracts, orders and financial data.

Develop new processes and work to improve existing processes for data management and reporting.

Manage the training budget for Digital Services and act as the main authoriser and contact.

Support the Commercial Analyst with new developments, changes in procedures and various projects.

Complete FOI requests relating to Digital Services contracts.

Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for financial matters and
departmental processes.

Act as a key point of contact for resolving ordering and invoicing issues.

Provide training, mentoring and coaching of junior staff.

Have expert knowledge of the Trust's financial systems.

Have excellent knowledge of all the Microsoft products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

The post holder will predominantly be based at the City Hospital campus, but will be required to travel between all NUH sites in Nottingham and on occasion travel off site to other Health Service Organisations and external suppliers.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities


This will involve, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure the needs of the department are met and the appropriate procurement processes are followed.

They should also be able to provide training and mentoring to junior staff on these systems and financial matters.

They will also be required to oversee the training booking process and resolve any issues that arise.

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level or relevant knowledge and experience
  • Evidence of Continuous Personal Development.
Desirable criteria

  • Prince2 Foundation
  • BCS Foundation level Certificate in Business Analysis
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of managing large budgets, including pay, nonpay and capital.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of IT software including Excel, Word and Project.
  • Managed small projects
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of computerised financial systems
  • Current and thorough knowledge of NHS accounting systems and practices.
Communication and relationship skills
