Leo's Den is a 64 capacity nursery school in SE London just off Great Dover Street and within walking distance of London Bridge and Borough stations.

The nursery has been open for 13 years and has 4 classroom areas and 2 gardens/terraces over 3 floors.

We recently had our OFSTED inspection and got a "Good in all Areas" with excellent comments, and as we are now almost full, we are looking for an additional Nursery Assistant / Nursery Practitioner to strengthen our staffing team.

As a Nursery Assistant / Nursery Practitioner you will be responsible for the following:

looking after the children in a happy, warm environment

- planning daily and weekly activities, and setting up those activities
- doing child observations and recording their progress on the Famly app.
- undertaking nappy changes and keeping the children clean and hygienic
- assisting with the meal and snack service to the children
- helping with the general cleanliness of the rooms

As a Nursery Assistant / Nursery Practitioner within our nursery, you will have the resources that you need to offer a varied and fun range of activities for the children, and we utilise the Famly teacher support system for you to post observations, photos and videos of those activities.

We very much believe in the development of our staff and have a constant programme of training to ensure that your skills are developed and up to date, and promotion from within is a regular occurrence for those wanting a career in early years.

Ideally you will have previous nursery experience and/or a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare, but we would also look at potential apprentices who want a career in early years.

Part-time hours: 16-40 per week

Salary:
£10.75-£11.40 per hour
