Materials Controller
Based
Huncoat, Nr Accrington.

Negotiable Salary + Excellent Benefits.

We currently have a great opportunity for a confident, forward thinking
Materials Controller responsible for expediting and managing the flow of materials from receiving through storage and release to ensure materials are provided to the production cells in a timely manner and that finished products are despatched in line with business demands.

The Role:

Run stock and component forecast reports, and take the appropriate action to achieve continuity of supply of components.
Place purchase orders to ensure that there is stock in place to cover all allocations and maintain the required stock levels.
Daily liaison with external suppliers and internal departments.
Check Sales enquiries and advise component delivery dates in the event of a shortfall in stock.
Review outstanding orders on a daily basis, and expedite where necessary to ensure that stock is available at the right time to meet production requirements.
Investigate stock discrepancies, and implement corrective actions where appropriate.
Conduct meetings on a regular basis with suppliers to ensure good relationships, collaboration and communication is up to date.
Keeping the Material Control Manager updated with any potential risk and shortages that may arise during the day to day process.

The Person:

Previous Stock / Material Control experience is essential.
Excellent analytical skills.
Interpersonal skills verbal and written.
Experience of MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft software packages, especially Excel.
Experience in working on Microsoft D365 (desirable).
