Description

To develop, coordinate and provide support to operational, fleet and site managers in the delivery of a range of key services, ensuring coordinated, consistent, integrated processes are developed and implemented.


Tasks will include, but not limited to:

Proactively supporting the DLO Manager, including forward planning and diary management,, preparation for meetings, accurate record keeping, contacting external suppliers, liaising with in-house and contractor operational staff and supporting internal and external communications., post /distribute information to staff.

Line management and day to day direction of the Maintenance Support Operative


Proactively supporting the Fleet Manager and team ensuring efficient operation & mandatory compliance of the University fleet and drivers; plan and coordinate vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, MoT tests etc.

and maintain accurate records; liaise with external suppliers.

Develop the analysis and reporting of vehicle telemetry data.


Using purchasing system (Planet) place orders for the Fabric, Grounds and Fleet teams, and for other University departments as required; liaise as required with internal teams, UoC departments and external suppliers.


Analyse and interpret data and information using MS Office and other MIS systems and databases as required; support managers in the drafting of reports, presentations etc.; produce regular and ad-hoc reports as required, and present information at management meetings.


Responsible for the administration and renewal of contracts/leases for, and the maintenance of, office equipment at Laundry Farm; liaise as necessary with external suppliers.

Undertake regular inspections of the Laundry Farm site; report any defects and initiate remedial actions.

Develop and implement processes and procedures to support the effective management of operational and fleet services, and associated reporting. Provide instruction and guidance to managers and the wider team on systems, processes and procedures to ensure consistency.
