This post offers the exciting opportunity for an Electronics and/or Systems Engineer to join a high-profile team supporting a wide range of critical capabilities ranging from cutting edge to legacy, fitted to the RN (Royal Navy) and RFA (Royal Fleet Auxiliary)surface fleet which enable the safe use of embarked Air Assets.


Responsibilities for Electronic Systems Engineer In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Aid in the procurement and installation of cutting-edge industry technology, keeping abreast of rapidly developing aircraft technological demands.
  • Develop bespoke support solutions with industry suppliers to maintain specialist legacy equipment, overcoming challenges such as obsolescence and industry skill fade in order to achieve availability targets.
  • Provide Engineering support to aid routine maintenance, defect rectification and availability improvement initiatives to ensure equipment availability for RN & RFA ships wherever they are in the world.
  • Contribute to the safe operation of equipment by supporting the management of safety artefacts to feed Safety and Environmental Case Reports (SECR) and Hazard Logs, and keeping them up to date and accurate to achieve the highest standards of operationalsafety.
  • Have demonstrable experience of managing and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have experience in provision of engineering support for electronic systems.
It would also be great if you can demonstrate any of the following desirable criteria:

  • Have experience within a maritime or aviation environment.
