About this role
Joining SARI (Stand Against Racism & Inequality) as a Team Leader means taking on a vital role in supervising operations and leading the delivery of hate crime and advocacy services.
Your primary responsibility is ensuring that our project worker team operates in accordance with relevant policies and procedures while providing the full spectrum of hate crime services.
This involves fostering positive relationships with partner agencies, ensuring legal compliance, and actively contributing to shaping the organisational culture to align with SARI's mission and values.
Collaborating closely with the leadership and management team, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of SARI's hate crime services, ensuring that performance management requirements are met to fulfill our organisational objectives.
Additionally, you'll manage a caseload of complex cases, offering expert guidance to achieve necessary outcomes while supporting the team in meeting performance targets.
The role of Team Leader also encompasses providing motivational supervisory support to maximise team engagement and commitment to organisational goals.
By actively participating in team meetings and contributing to staff development, you'll ensure that our teams stay informed about relevant legislation and best practices in service delivery.
A few of your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising day-to-day operations and leading the delivery of hate crime and advocacy services.
- Ensuring adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and quality assurance systems to foster continuous improvement within the organisation's performance and development.
- Nurturing positive relationships with partner agencies to promote best practice response to hate crime and incidents, as well as bestpractice equality and diversity standards.
- Managing a caseload of complex cases, providing expert input to achieve necessary outcomes.
- Providing motivational supervisory support to maximise team engagement and commitment to organisational goals.
- Overseeing staff induction, appraisal, and performance management processes to ensure staff meet key performance indicators.
- Working effectively with individuals and agencies involved in hate crime prevention and advocacy.
- Demonstrating leadership skills to motivate and empower staff to achieve organisational objectives.
- Managing complex caseloads and providing expert guidance to achieve necessary outcomes.
- Understanding legal requirements and driving excellence in operational policies and procedures.
- Engaging in continuous improvement processes to enhance organisational performance and development.
