Description
The Head of Clinical Quality role is an exciting new role for the Manchester Care Group within GMMH. We are looking for a proactive and quality obsessed person to lead the quality agenda within the Care group.


The role will focus on developing and supporting quality frameworks across the Care group and will work closely with the Associate director of Quality, the Associate director of Ops and the Associate medical director.

Leading the quality agenda across the Care group, including:

  • Developing quality assurance frameworks
  • Infection prevention and control

The post holder in conjunction with the Associate Director for Quality and Health Professionals will contribute to the strategic direction and development of GMMH Quality Standards.


  • Coordinate and lead on the development and embedding of Quality standards and processes across GMMH Manchester Care Group.
  • Provide day to day operational management for the senor nurses within the Manchester Care group.
  • Develop inclusive workforce development strategy for the GMMH Manchester Care Group in line with Trust workforce strategy and in collaboration with Nursing and allied health professional leads.
  • Chair Care Group Quality and Quality Improvement meetings and oversee delivery of Care Group clinical audit programme.
  • Build and develop effective networks across the Trust, Regionally and Nationally to promote service visibility, shared learning and awareness of the national service development agenda in order to influence change.
  • Utilise negotiation skills to achieve service targets, Quality standards and development priorities.
  • Support a learning culture that encourages staff to learn from each other and from external best practice, this includes incident and Risk management.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, staff development and professional supervision.
  • Develop effective processes for implementing and monitoring integration of best practice guidelines into service policies and procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to maintain compliance with Quality standards.
  • Develop a strategy and lead on implementation to benchmark and design service improvements.
