Job summary:

The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 7,5000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations.

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) has been providing officer training in its current form since 1947 and is known throughout the world as a leading military training academy for British and International Officer Cadets as they begin their military careers and throughout their service in the Army.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:


  • The ammunition storekeeper is a crucial and interesting role within the Staff Quartermaster's Department which will give you the opportunity to support the Officer Cadets and permanent staff in their training to become world class Army Officers.

Person specification:

The Ammunition Storekeeper is responsible for:


  • General Storekeeping duties to include the receipt, storage and issue of ammunition stores as directed by the Stores Officer.

Preparation of defective equipment for inspections and Conditioning Boards conducted by Quartermaster (Technical).

Preparation of ammunition materiel for returning through official channels.

Maintenance & care of all associated stores items.

Assist in the review and stocktaking of all items within the Ammunition Store.

Assist in other stores including the receipt, storage and issue of body armour.

Maintain safe working practices throughout the stores and report any shortcomings.
