Mochridhe are currently recruiting a compassionate, enthusiastic and hard-working individual for the role of Team Leader, based in Carntyne.


You will be responsible for managing a small team of support workers, conduct and document care plans and risk assessments, staff supervisions, appraisals and Team Meetings.

Experience in a similar role in the care sector is desirable.

You will be registered with the SSCC or prepare to register within a specified time frame, have the ability to work a varied shift pattern including nights and weekends and be able to work as part of team or on your own initiative.


Duties may include:


  • You will work with our Service Manager in supporting the best outcomes for customers and staff, ensuring that excellent services are delivered
  • Highly flexible and participate in the 24 hour oncall rotational system
  • Provide support to staff and have a personcentred approach to the people that use our service
  • Ensuring that all shifts are covered by relevant staff
  • Responsible for upkeep of all documentation for each individual service, ensuring all compliance is met
  • Assisting with general household tasks, social outings, doctor/hospital visits, accompanying to college or workplace
  • 80% of role will be on shift carrying out Support Worker duties which will involve personal care, outings with service user all physical and adventurous activities and holidays with service user

Key skills and attributes required:


  • Experience with learning disabilities, autism and mental health is essential
  • Caring, compassionate and a good listener
  • An energetic, happy person who enjoys forming relationships with people
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle is required
  • A current member of the PVG scheme or willing to register
  • Registered with SSSC or be prepared to register
