We've got an exciting opportunity for a retail HR advisor to join our team to deliver our HR service driving capability and improving business performance through coaching and developing our retail leadership teams.
You'll provide consultative guidance on HR matters, champion talent development initiatives and facilitate effective change management, whilst making sure we have compliance and consistency in our HR practices whilst living our values.
To be successful for the role, you'll have previous experience of working in a HR team ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site retail or hospitality operation.
You'll ideally have your CIPD qualification, but if you're part qualified that's okay too, just bring your knowledge of employment law and ER case management We're looking for someone who has a proven track record of working in partnership with teams at all levels across the business with a key focus on customer excellence.
If you have experience of TUPE and SAP systems that would be amazingAs our HR advisor, you'll get involved in:
- Acting as the first point of contact for all partners across our retail estate, providing HR advice, training, enabling first line management of basic partner issues and any identified performance concerns. You'll also be supporting with any HR & ER related activity, including Occupational Health referrals and performance issues, contract issues.
- Working with our HR business partner to support succession planning and mid/end of year talent discussions for our retail operations.
- Making sure any HR related programmes and processes are implemented to support productivity, organisational growth and development of partners as part of the people planning process.
- Supporting to identify the root performance issues and recommending solutions.
- Analysing key metrics, identifies trends and creates action plans to improve business performance and drive partner engagement.
- Supporting in the delivery and design of HR policies and training as required, in order to support the development of management practices, skills and knowledge. Coaches managers to support them in dealing with all people related issues. Provides regular HR/ER updates to the HR team.
- Provides support and day to day management of employment tribunals, relating to paperwork, witness preparation and contact with solicitors and general preparation.
- Supports cultural, change management and engagement programmes that reinforce Starbucks mission, values and guiding principles (i.e. Partner Experience Survey, Engagement Advocates and other adhoc projects as required).
- Partners with relevant support centre functions to ensure delivery, implementation and embedding of key operational/business initiatives.
