BUSINESS AREA:
The Xceptor Delivery Team is responsible for delivering a variety of Xceptor projects across the financial services industry from short deliverables and consultancy opportunities to longer-term strategic change/transformation projects, across new and existing clients.
The team drive successful outcomes by providing expertise in how Xceptor can be configured and deployed to solve our client's business problems.
THE ROLE:
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced, client-facing, software Product Owner (PO) to join our Delivery team.
As a key team member, you'll work on multiple and varied projects across all our products and value proposition, for new and existing global clients, acting as a proxy PO for the client and carrying out the role of PO for the Delivery team.
You will also contribute by providing business analysis and gathering client requirements directly.
The role will suit an individual who can effectively bring their PO, business analyst, and project management skills together alongside a quality-driven approach and mindset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Backlog management and prioritisation
- Set, prioritise, and evaluate the work requested by our clients and work with the Delivery team to ensure features and user stories are created to a high standard, to drive the quality of the delivered product and to ensure a backlog of ready work is maintained and aligned with client expectations.
Sprint Planning - responsible for agreeing on what goes into a sprint and the successful outcome of each sprint.

Gather requirements from clients by liaising with business teams and understanding/analysing requirements as needed.

Sprint Reviews
- Ensure the sprint delivers the project plan and client expectations.

Estimations
- Ensure estimations are completed in a timely and effective manner.

Team Responsibility
- Daily standups, resolve issues and blockers, ensure effective utilisation of team.
Build strong relationships
- Ensure internal and client relationships are developed and maintained; assist Pre-Sales, Sales, Client Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Agile Coaches, and Implementation Consultants.
Line management/coach/mentor implementation consultants.
KEY SKILLS:
To be considered for the role, you will need to clearly demonstrate:
- Experience working as a software Product Owner, within Banking/Financial Services, and/or with an understanding of Securities Services, Custody and Asset Services (Settlement, Corporate Action, and Income) and Withholding Tax.
- Strong business analysis experience including requirements gathering.
- Excellent clientfacing skills and can demonstrate how to engage with clients to successfully capture highquality requirements.
- Experience working in a Delivery, Implementation or Professional Services setting.
- Indepth knowledge of Agile processes and principles.
- Experience working at a FinTech company with major Financial Services/Banking organisations.
- Knowledge/experience of Xceptor products and value proposition.
- Degree/MA/Academic qualification in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience line managing/coaching/mentoring people
