Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the area in which you live and work? Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is seeking a high calibre professional to join its team and do just that.

The Organisation

Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is a 211-year-old membership organisation and, as the only accredited Chamber in the county, is recognised as the premier business group representing all sizes of business.

Providing a range of member benefits, events, training and support to our members, comprising everything from small start-ups to major international corporate brands, the Chamber works in partnership across the public and private sector to make our area the best place in which to do business.

Devon & Plymouth Chamber lobbies hard for our area and incorporates the Plymouth Area Business Council. The International Trade team at the Chamber also delivers training, advice, and documentation services to a range of exporters.

The Chamber is entering an exciting period in its development with new members joining every week and is expanding its outreach and influence with key strategic partners across the region.

About the Role

As an International Trade Executive, you will play a crucial role facilitating international trade services for both Devon and Cornwall.

Providing an oversight of the chamber's documentation services, including the processing of Certificates of Origin and Eur1, you will also be the administrator lead for our BCC Accredited International Trade training program.

This role is an integral part of the team and will be accountable for contributing to the overall success of the operations.

Whilst working independently within the small, dedicated team to ensure all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and to a high standard, it will also be essential to maintain meaningful and relevant communication with partners and with stakeholders.

If you have relevant experience combined with an eye for detail and communication skills, we want to hear from you.

Your day-to-day tasks will be varied and engaging and you will act as the key stakeholder for International Trade services coving both Devon and Cornwall, along with assisting the team in other administration duties.

While qualifications are useful, we are predominantly looking for experience and attitude. Full training to complete documentation will be provided along with a programme of training in International Trade.

If this is you, then get in touch and tell us how you can make a real difference to the Chamber and its members.
