Senior Operations Manager - Food Industry. Are there any roles in food manufacturing that are easy at the moment? Absolutely not.

The industry is facing some of its toughest challenges that have been taking their toll for last 2-3 years now.

This Head of Operations role is only going to suit someone who knows the industry and understands how to run a good production facility and has the tenacity, knowledge and resilience required for the challenge.

This site is demanding because of the complexity, pace of their product and customer base.

You need leadership skills that are all about having gravitas, clear communication and the confidence to stand by your decisions.

The opportunities to drive improvements are there for the taking by a senior production professional.

The Role

Heading up manufacturing this Head of Operations role requires a confident operator with the experience, knowledge and understanding of complex food manufacturing.

In this pivotal appointment heading up the manufacturing function, the team will look at this individual for leadership and to take them to the next stage in the site's development.

The following are essentials in background for this:

Senior production management in fast paced food or FMCG manufacturing.
Leadership skills with strong evidence of teams built and developed previously.
Decisive based on the fact.
Able to drive teams with confidence taking out the drama and emotion.
High energy you thrive on a fast paced, deadline driven environments.
Able to interpret numerical data at speed basing those key decisions on data and what is available to make the next step.
As well as wearing your strategic hat you know the detail initially this will be the case here to identify and drive the key improvements required.
Your experience in manufacturing means you know where the levers are, which lever to pull and when to steer the team correctly.
Commercial acumen and a solid understanding of manufacture for retail.
Clear and concise communication. Everyone in the team knows why, when and their role.

There is a real opportunity here for the right individual who can really make a name for themselves in this role.
