Description

Glue line machine operator

Responsibilities:


  • Producing finished cartons of various styles, complexity, and materials across a range of equipment, both efficiently and to a high degree of quality
  • Set up machines according to specifications.
  • Operate and maintain machinery used in the production process.
  • General machine maintenance
  • Setting up and running straight line glue jobs and crash lock boxes manufactured from folding carton board.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Achieve daily production plan.

Skills required:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Straight Line, Crashlock.
  • Bobst mistral machinery experience preferable
  • Previous gluing experience
  • Strong understanding of the glue process
  • Good understanding of quality standards
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision, meet deadlines and handle a wide variety of responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates satisfactory working relationships and show respect for colleagues.
  • Maintains an acceptable work rate and completes duties in a timely way.
  • Has good attendance and timekeeping
  • Must have working knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salary:
£14.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Thame: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
