Exciting Opportunity Gateway is looking to recruit for the position of Accommodation Officer in line with the company's development needs.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with excellent communication and people skills to help us recruit and retain our host family service for international students.

About the Role


The Accommodation officer will provide a first-class service to both students and host families by recruiting and retaining top quality homestay and managing informed matching of students, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the provision and stock of accommodation for assigned areas
  • Carry out the companies strict vetting procedure when recruiting new host, ensuring all safer recruitment processes are followed
  • Ensure placements for both long and shortterm accommodation is arranged with suitable hosts in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the information flow from the accommodation office is of a consistently high quality and accuracy
  • Manage regular accommodation inspections, to ensure the service delivered is that which has been contracted
  • Take a lead role in providing answers to questions ,both internal and external, and supply information regarding accommodation and alternatives by collaborating between schools and host families
  • Find creative means of developing, enhancing and retaining the homestay stock
  • Converse with accrediting bodies to ensure all company requirements are met/exceeded
  • Ensure that all record keeping systems provide the information required by accrediting bodies and internal requirements
  • Seek out new accommodation and plan, in advance for anticipated numbers and geographic/other requirements; investigate and explore accommodation alternatives
  • Ensure accommodation practices would satisfy an accreditation spot check
  • Participate in the 24hour emergency phone rota

Position Requirements

  • A-Level qualifications
.Experience of a dynamic customer focused role

  • Excellent oral and written communication
.Must hold a full clean UK driving license

  • Previous experience of working in the education sector is advantageous
.Previous experience of safeguarding children is preferred, with particular reference to safer recruitment

Salary:
£25,000.00-£26,500.00 per year
