ROLE OVERVIEW:

At Bright Stars Nursery Group head office we are looking for a
Finance Assistant who will support our Senior Management Accountant with the gathering of information to process day to day finance duties.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant who is looking to study Level 3 or 4 AAT (or potentially already started) who wants to join a fast paced growing business to develop from Finance Assistant into an Assistant Management Accountant.

You will need to be organised, take ownership of the role and be methodical when dealing with finance queries in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reconcile bank accounts
• Reconcile debtor accounts, investigating variances
• Assist in completion of management account packs including all balance sheet reconciliations
• Work closely with senior management accountant to understand nursery performances against budget, providing commentary against key variances
• Ad hoc projects Self-Management
• Willing to get involved in other areas of the business as may be needed with future acquisitions

• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Good communicator
• Well organised

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience in a multilocation business
• AAT qualification (working towards or completed)
• Sage Intacct experience though full training given

Full time, office based in Pride Park, Derby (DE24)
Salary up to £20,000 depending on experience
25 x days holiday (3 to be saved for Christmas Closure) plus 8 x Bank Holiday Days


Salary:
Up to £20,000.00 per year

• Monday to Friday

• Derby, DE24 8BX: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
