Locum Property Lawyer - East Midlands - 3 months - Part Time - 3 Days per Week - Remote Working - up to £55 Umbrella
The position offers an hourly rate of up to
£55 per hour Umbrella dependent upon levels of experience.


This is a position ideally looking for those who have existing experience of working within
Local Governmentand hold practical knowledge of auctions, including auction packs, sale and leasebacks, adverse possession claims and commercial agreements for adoptions of highways/sewers.


Duties may include:

  • Experienced in handling auctions, including auction packs, sale and leasebacks, adverse possession claims and commercial agreements for adoptions of highways/sewers
  • Advising landlord clients in relation to a range of issues related to Property lettings, including but not limited to forfeiture, peaceable possession and potentially recovery of rent arrears
  • Managing a varied Property portfolio including a number of industrial estates located across the region, retail units, offices, education and leisure venues
  • Working on leases, licences, easements, agreements for lease and conditional contracts
  • Dealing with freehold and leasehold disposals
  • Drafting and negotiating freehold transfers, deeds of surrender and investigation licenses
  • Working closely with the Council's Property Services Team in order to proactively coordinate and manage a large number of instructions
  • Supporting client departments on land and property, highways, contract and procurement matters
  • Drafting Property related statutory notices and representing Property landlord clients in County Court forfeiture proceedings and completing all paperwork required
