Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care while adhering to care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Duties

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Support the implementation of care plans by monitoring and documenting changes in residents' conditions.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, families, and other team members regarding residents' needs and progress.
• Maintain accurate records using IT systems for documentation of care provided.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment by following health and safety protocols.
• Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong English language skills for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
• Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with residents and their families effectively.
• A valid driving licence is preferred for those involved in home care duties.
