Who you'll be working for:

Nomura is a global financial services group with an integrated network spanning over 30 countries and regions.

By connecting markets East & West, we service the needs of individuals, institutions, corporates and governments through our three business divisions:
Retail, Investment Management and Wholesale (Global Markets and Investment Banking).

You will be responsible for:


  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Logging all issues with the firms incident management system
  • ServiceNow
  • Resolving user PC issues across multiple business units user queries for MS Office, desktop hardware issues
  • Escalating issues to second/third line
  • Supporting various user Endpoints (laptops, VDI \ Thinclients, desktops, workstations and mobile devices)
  • Creating and maintaining operational documentation, processes and procedures

You will need the following skills:

  • IT literate
  • Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Conformable using Mobile devices (iPhones, iPads, etc.)
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Assertive, selfmotivated and collaborative
  • Oral communication
  • Written communication
  • Numerical skills
  • Problem solving
  • Presentation

The following experience would be beneficial:

  • Working in a team environment
  • Exposure working in a support role (Tech bar, call \ service centre, IT support role, etc.)

Entry requirements:


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.


Working week:

35 hours per week, shifts to cover 7am to 7pm Monday - Friday with 1 hour for lunch


Future prospects:

The potential of a full time role at the end of apprenticeship.

QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.


To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
