At WSE Academy we provide alternative education provision for 14-16 year olds, who through social, emotional or behavioural difficulties are unable to access or are unsuited to mainstream education and are seeking alternative ways to achieve.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To plan, deliver and assess a vocational L1 Motor Vehicle programme.
Delivering various activities in both the workshop and classroom environment. A background in mechanics is required as you'll be working with small groups and individual learners.
Responsibilities:
- Support learners in completing tasks in the workshop and classroom, enhancing learner knowledge on introductory motor mechanic topics
- Lead in delivering activity in the workshop with learners
- Ensure marking is implemented on a regular basics to enable learners to receive feedback
- Undertake health and safety checks for learners on programme.
- To work as part of a team developing appropriate teaching and learning materials to support learners.
- Supporting pupils within a mentoring capacity
- Guide and encourage learners to reach their academic potential
Qualification Requirements:
- PTLLS or equivalent
- Teaching/delivering: 2 years preferred
- Assessor Award or equivalent (preferred not essential)
- Automotive/Technical at Level 3 or above
- Functional Skills at equivalent to level 2

Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary:
£13.00 per hour
