Vacancy - Internal Sales Executive

Location - Croydon, Surrey / South London area

Industry - Lighting and Electrical Distributor

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

only (no weekends)

Salary - up to circa £35K negotiable + bonuses

Rhodium Consulting is recruiting for an internal telephone sales person for this successful and long established lighting and electrical distributor.

The role will involve working in a small team of people dealing with pricing enquiries, technical queries and orders.

Many customers choose to do business by telephoning the internal sales people who, with a combination of thorough product knowledge and top-class communication skills, are able to develop and satisfy the customers' requirements quickly and efficiently.

The majority of the role will be reactive sales calls, responding to customer enquiries coming into the branch.

Responsibilities will include:
Handling enquiries

Raising Quotations for customer orders

Customer terms

Progressing queries

Purchase orders

Reactive selling

Use of computer system and spreadsheet including quotations, enquiries, picking notes, back orders

Occasional other Ad hoc duties as required

Skills Required:
Polished communication skills

Computer literate (inc Microsoft Office)

Enjoys speaking to people on the phone

Reliable and committed working attitude

A hard working team player.

A self-motivated person who understands the importance of getting the job done and/or responding to the customer as promised

Efficient and effective

Should be punctual, well presented and like to operate in a clean and tidy manner.

Positive with a friendly "can do" attitude.

A good listener who is keen to learn, develop new skills and "get on" in the business.

Thoughtful and resourceful, someone who enjoys solving problems.

It is essential that you have electrical wholesale industry sales experience with ideally some lighting product knowledge.

You will have a good understanding of the electrical wholesale industry and be able to communicate with a wide variety of people.
