3 days per week - excellent work life balance. This role offers 2 week rolling rota (week - 3 week days, week - 1 week day and weekend)
Shift times: 9:30am - 6:00pm
Abbeyfield Monmouth is a retirement home located in the beautiful historic town of Monmouth, nestled in the heart of the stunning Wye Valley, famous for its iconic 13th century gatehouse bridge.
We offer supported housing for residents aged 55, providing our residents the privacy and independence of having their own high quality, affordable accommodation combined with the support from a professional, dedicated and caring team of staff.
The opportunity:
We are looking for someone who would like to advance their skills and knowledge in an exciting catering role.
We have a dedicated learning and development team who will offer you all the training required to excel in this position, so please do not be put off if you haven't had a role like this before.
The shift starts at 9:30am, which is perfect for anyone who may have commitments outside of work. You will clean and prepare the dining room and kitchen, then cook lunch and dinner for our 10 tenants.
The home very welcoming, our tenants are friendly and love to chat with the people who work in their home.
What we need from you (selection criteria):
- Communication skills
- as you'll be a member of the kitchen team, you will be expected to work with the service managers and our residents to ensure the best service is delivered. So, you'll have to be approachable and friendly and enjoy a good chat
- A passion for delicious and nutritious food, with a willingness to learn and attend training.
- An Enhanced DBS check will need to be carried out for this role.
