Production Operator

Shepley Spring are the UK's leading bottled water manufacturer with over 20 years' experience in production and are proud to remain a family run business to this day.
The company operates in two manufacturing facilities in West Yorkshire and owns several high-speed production lines with the capabilities of producing both still and sparkling water servicing leading retailers such as Morrisons, Lidl, Booker Tesco and Sainsbury through private label and produces the brands Ice Valley and White Rock exclusively.
Following a period of impressive growth, the business are looking to strengthen their Production offering to support further expansion and development plans and seeking an operator to join their already established team.
Summary:
The production operator is a vital member of our manufacturing team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and processes.
Attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures, and a commitment to quality are essential qualities for success in this role.
Job Specification:
- Various manual handling responsibilities inclusive of packing
- Regular line cleaning and a responsibility for overall hygiene.
- Set up and operate production equipment according to established procedures and guidelines responsible for changeovers of products safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all raw materials are checked against specification and monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Contribute to ensuring that production targets are met with regards to quality, health & safety and waste minimisation.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and deadlines.
- Contribute to ensuring housekeeping and hygiene standards are met and maintained across the site.
- Ensure the food hygiene policy is always adhered too.
- Ensure compliance in all food, hygiene and safety processes and procedures.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of production processes.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations governing safety and quality standards.
- Set a role model example within your team for attitude, contribution and teamwork.
Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Basic math skills and understanding of measurement units.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Conscientious with excellent time keeping skill set
Salary:
£27,000 - £30,000 p/a (experience dependant)
Working Hours:46 hours - 4 day on 4 day off shift pattern
(weekend cover requirements paid at overtime rates)
