Description

Ghinn & Co is a long-established construction company carrying out high quality residential projects in Surrey and West Sussex.
We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and ambitious
Buyer.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working alongside the office team at Ghinn & Co, you will experience a wide range of tasks focused on the procurement of building materials, sub-contractors and site services.

Key Tasks

Communicating and negotiating with existing supply chain
Raising purchase orders for materials, plant hire and subcontractors
Assisting the Estimator with sending out, receiving and evaluating prices for tender purposes
Organising subcontractor labour
Inputting purchase orders into construction management software
Updating and circulating drawings
General administrative duties

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable but not essential. You must be IT proficient and highly numerate with excellent organisation and communication skills.

Driving licence and own transport required.
