This is an excellent opportunity for a Wind Energy Yield specialist to join Corio's rapidly growing offshore wind company and become part of the fantastic team supporting our projects globally.

Responsibilities


We are looking for an experienced Wind Energy Yield specialist in the offshore wind industry to become part of our global team of industry professionals.

The Wind Energy Yield specialist will be responsible for the Annual Energy Production assessments (AEP) for our large-scale offshore wind projects globally.


As a Wind Energy Yield specialist, you will be Corio's expert in wind resource analysis, and you will be expected to both run energy yield assessments and validate the work completed by partners and external consultants.

You will focus on our new wind farm projects, but you will also support our more mature projects.

You will also advise on site specific wind measurement campaigns and provide quality control on the work carried out by contractors while undertaking the campaigns.


You take a proactive approach to your work, and you are a person who enjoys engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

It is essential that you thrive in dynamic environments and that you have a holistic understanding of large-scale offshore wind farm projects.

The role reports to the Global Head of Technology, WTG and Wind Farm Design.

Areas of responsibility in the role:

  • Calculation of long-term wind speed estimates at hub height, gross energy yield assessments (AEP), technical losses and corrections to move from gross to net AEP, undertake uncertainty analysis
  • both within Corio and managing third parties
  • Internal focal point for energy yield related matters for new wind farms
  • Development of novel approaches to support the organisation's needs
  • Analysis, interpretation of wind measurement data and managing assumptions
  • Advisory and optimisation of wind data acquisition
  • Support layout optimisation work from a yield perspective
  • Support the establishment of preferred consultants and frameworks across our active regions
  • Liaise with the global engineering and construction teams and share knowledge

Your profile

  • 4+ years of Yield specialist experience on offshore windfarm projects.
  • Experienced user of WindPro.
  • Proactive and cooperative way of working
  • Resilient, adaptable, and organised, good at working on multiple projects in parallel.
  • Strong expertise and confidence to advise the organisation in yield related matters.
  • Pragmatic approach and accountability when producing project specific assumptions. Attention to detail will be key for success
  • Global mindset being responsive to local and remote inputs and requests.
  • Perseverance and an ability to prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Business awareness and understanding of the key drivers and levers that influence project performance.
