We are now recruiting for a an experienced, passionate and dedicated Assistant Designer specialising in Jersey-product for the kidswear team based in London.

This role will support the Design Manager, and the wider kidswear design team.

About the Role

The Assistant Designer role is a varied role which supports all areas within the design team.

This role will help with organising & preparing for customer meetings, creating tech packs & liaising with factories, working on trend, colour & market research, designing small capsule ranges for key customers, along with ad-hoc daily office & design tasks.

We are looking for a Design Assistant who is:

  • Experienced in kidswear design and the fashion industry
  • Commercially aware of current trends and themes, developing the brand and working with production to ensure all products are designed and manufactured in line with the customers' direction and critical path within sometimes tight deadlines.
  • An excellent communicator and someone who is comfortable working with colleagues and customers at all levels, including customers and factories and third parties based in the Far East and Europe
  • Highly organised, efficient and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced working environment
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel), CAD and Illustrator skills
  • Driven and results orientated
  • Proactive, positive and solutions focussed
  • Educated to degree level, ideally in a qualification related to fashion design, business or retail
