Our emergency out of hours team is looking for a Veterinary Care Assistant to join themThe role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a keen interest in working with animals.
The role would be a 12-hour shift (8pm-8am) on a 4 on 8 off rolling rota and this includes bank holidays and weekends.
- 8pm 8am
- 4 nights on, 8 nights off on a rolling rota (inc. bank holidays and weekends)
- Average 28 hours p/week
- Additional day shifts available if opted in
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be always supported by an experienced RVN and a twilight Veterinary Care Assistant.
This position is a vital role for the smooth running of our hospital and ensuring the very best care is provided to our patients.
You will work with both the day and night teams to provide continuity of care to all in patients.Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Animal Handling (small amount, full training given and with supervision of RVN)
- Cleaning
- Restocking
- Filing
- Sterilisation
