Overview - Finance Business Partner


Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be retained in partnership with a hugely profitable and globally established manufacturing business based in Birmingham, who are on the lookout for a Finance Business Partner.


Role Purpose


As Finance Business Partner your role will be to work closely with and support senior leaders within an assigned region to build ambitious and financially robust plans, providing commercial expertise to deliver and improve against agreed financial targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with and support the Finance Director to set and gain approval for the strategic business plan
  • As part of the finance leadership team, represent and deliver assigned tasks on behalf of the Finance Director as required
  • At regional level develop effective monthly forecasting and monitor performance against agreed plans, working with local leadership teams to identify shortfalls and agree recovery plans
  • Directly or indirectly manage and support the development of the wider Finance team, ensuring high levels of and consistent performance
  • Support key commercial bids and proposals, engaging with the earlystage bidding process to ensure financials are understood and accurately presented, financial assumptions are clearly documented, risks and opportunities identified, and contingency managementis in place
  • Provide financial leadership in the development of new projects ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained where required through the governance and approval process
  • Support the development of capital investment proposals, ensuring a strong business case and quantifiable ROI is in place for all significant requests
  • Lead the annual budget setting process at regional level and support the company level budget preparations

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Previous Finance Business Partnering experience within a multisite environment would be advantageous
  • Successful track record of managing similar accounting processes in a complex or corporate environment
  • Financial management experience, specifically budgets, cost control and market analysis.
  • High level financial and business analytical skills.
  • People leadership experience and track record of developing high performing teams
