Our client based in West London is seeking a Software Engineer - C++, Unreal Engine to join their team.


My client delivers systems that can perceive and understand the world with the same semantic richness as the human brain and using the exact neural mechanisms they believe are at work in the brain.


Their approaches are inspired by their recent advances in theoretical neuroscience, which are beginning to deliver an understanding of how the brain makes sense of the world.


C++ & Unreal Engine Software Engineer - job responsibilities:

  • Enhance our synthetic imagery creation capability by further automating our production process, delivering production efficiencies.
  • Contribute to development and software engineering efforts to develop solutions to our most pressing problems and to put your work into practice.
  • Participate in defining the software development roadmap and in holding responsibility for delivering core components of our machine vision and image analysis products.
  • Work with research colleagues and offer technical support to colleagues in commercial roles in developing business opportunities.
  • Produce project deliverables by challenging milestone dates.

C++ & Unreal Engine Software Engineer - required:

  • Games industry experience as an Unreal developer producing functionality for production of images for games or movies will be relevant.
  • Proven contribution to design, development and scaling of high quality, practical reliable software.
  • Design and implement code that is fit for purpose, scalable, humanreadable, and in line with industry best practice.
  • Deliver quality control by testing intuitiveness, user experience, and debugging where necessary.
  • Communicate with directors and end users to understand their business goals and objectives and interpret that into the required changes to the platform.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a fastpaced engineering team.

C++ & Unreal Engine Software Engineer - desirable:

  • Previous work developing synthetic data generation capabilities or delivering synthetic imagery data for neural network training and testing
  • SCRUM or other agile/rapid development methodology experience.
  • Familiarity with Unreal, Blender and 3D modelling.
  • Work with important defence sector clients. You will need to be able to pass security clearance processes to at least BPSS and, preferably SC level
  • Strong academic background; MSc or Ph.
D. in a relevant computer science discipline or similar.

  • Experience working in a startup Environment.
